The Washington State Fair Event Center is hiring a Facility Rental & Event Manager to lead the strategy, sales pipeline, calendar governance, and execution of all facility rental events and shows across the Event Center year-round. This role manages a small, high performing team that sells venue space and delivers seamless events end to end—actively prospecting, contracting, building event plans, and coordinating logistics with internal departments and external producers. The position also stewards departmental policies and procedures, oversees budget planning and performance for Facility Rentals, Box Office Operations, and assigned Signature Event departments, and ensures that every event is safe, compliant, guest centric, and financially successful.
The Washington State Fair Events Center (WSFEC) is hiring a Program and Support Services Manager to lead and manage the organization’s capital projects, facilities planning, construction management, property enhancements, project scheduling and building upgrades. As part of the WSF Leadership Team, you are responsible for assisting with the overall leadership and management of the Washington State Fair capital and non-capital projects. This includes project development, design, and construction coordination as well as project budget management.
The Washington State Fair Event Center is hiring a Grounds and Landscape Specialist to maintain and enhance the grounds and landscaped areas of the Event Center campus. This role requires hands-on expertise in landscaping and greenhouse management to ensure the grounds remain beautiful, functional, and safe in all weather conditions. This position may assist with the development of landscape plans but focuses on implementing high-quality maintenance and grounds care, assisting with event setups to include grounds landscaping, building and grounds lighting, setting up tents and awnings, and other duties as assigned.

In addition to the fairs, the event center produces Oktoberfest Northwest in October and Holiday Magic in December. Oktoberfest Northwest is the largest Munich-style celebration at a venue in the state and features three days of great food, drinks, entertainment and activities for all ages. In July 2022, The Taste Northwest had its inaugural year at the Washington State Event Center. Formerly, The Taste of Tacoma, a popular food and entertainment event since 1986, it has found a new home. The three-day extravaganza welcomes a diverse array of restaurants, food trucks, music and other activities for all ages.
