    Check out the Northwest Outdoors exhibit for tons of fun activities focusing on the environment and its resources!

    Northwest Outdoors highlights ways to responsibly enjoy the environment and its resources while encouraging you to "Go Play Outside." Exhibits include conservation, ecology, state parks, Mount Rainier, archery, salmon and much more. This is the place to be fascinated by all things outdoors. Over 25 agencies and organizations will provide information and activities for all age groups.

    Featured Activities

    • Watershed Model - A 45 ft. long watershed model depicting Mount Rainier to Commencement Bay 
    • Archery - Shoot a real bow and arrow - Fri, Sat & Sun only
    • The Tacoma Astronomical Society - Society members have telescopes set up for viewing and they are available to answer questions
    • Plus, throughout the exhibits look for opportunities to learn about forest fires, farm forestry, and native plants
